Review of holiday party gift turnings

A selection of gifts from the December holiday party were shown by their creators.
Bob, Bud, Don, Gordon, Jon, Larry and Tom described the pieces they made and how they made them. Each description was equivalent to a short demonstration. We got our money's worth.

A Message from Laura Uden

So it’s already February and we forgot to thank Bud Trapp for taking on the President’s role last year. He did a great job stepping into the breach and keeping the club moving forward after Tom Kenyon finished his tenure as President – thanks Bud!!

The Board had a great meeting a few weeks ago, discussing the vision for the club and how to achieve it. Don’t forget that members are welcome to join the Board meetings, as the officers are here to serve your interests. Space is limited at Bob Hedges’ house, so we set up a call-in number which I sent to you all. We had a glitch with the teleconference last time, so we’ll test it out before the next Board meeting.

We’re making a few changes to the start of the club meetings to reduce some of the discussion by officers and allow for more sharing by members, and more time for the Program. We’ll explain the approach on Tuesday – we look forward to your feedback over the next few meetings on how it’s working.

This month’s program is on beadwork, and we’re really excited to see what Dave Vannier is going to present, especially since we won his piece at the December holiday dinner and gift exchange. It should be an excellent program!
