On September 20, 2025 Mark Gardner gave a demonstration for the combined Silicon Valley Woodturners and West Bay Woodturners clubs at Maker Nexus. Mark lives in the mountains of North Carolina and enjoys using the hardwoods that are plentiful there. Mark focused on a variety of embellishing techniques.

A successful sawdust session was held at Dennis’s woodturning shop in the Santa Cruz mountains in January 2025. Seventeen members learned about sanding strategies, wood processing, and shop setup and enjoyed good company and beautiful scenery.
