Two hand-turned wooden objects rest on grey fabric. The top piece is a smooth, light-brown hollow cylinder with rounded ends. Below it lies its matching spindle, featuring two raised flanges along the shaft, screw threads at one end, and a wider cap designed to fit into the cylinder above. Together they form a threaded container for storing sewing threads used in clothing mending.
